The Pantheon – one of the most iconic and architecturally innovative structures in the ancient world. Its design is based on the interplay of 2D and 3D geometric shapes: circles, squares, spheres, and cubes. This interaction is even featured in the paving, which is composed of alternating red and gray granite circles within yellow marble squares juxtaposed against two concentric squares of white marble within red granite; all contained within the rotunda’s circular space. Our artistic rendering of this pattern preserves the unique aesthetic of the original, recalling the underlying geometrical relationships that characterize this exceptional work of Roman architecture.
