The Pantheon – one of the most iconic structures in all of Roman architecture. Originally built by Agrippa, it was completely rebuilt by Hadrian and dedicated about AD 126. This second iteration retained the original inscription: M AGRIPPA L F COS TERTIVM FECIT in large letters across the front. What is less known is that a second inscription was written under the first that commemorates repairs undertaken by the emperor Septimius Severus and his son Caracalla in AD 202. Our design incorporates both, precisely scaled so that they appear exactly as they are on the building’s façade.
