It’s one of the most recognized panoramas in the world – the Acropolis of Athens. While the earliest artifacts at the site date to the Middle Neolithic, it’s the reconstruction by the Athenian statesman Pericles following the Persian Wars that created an icon. Built during the so-called “Golden Age” of Athens (460-430 BC), the structures of Pericles’ Acropolis symbolize the developmental apex of classical Greek art and architecture and the power of the Athenian state. Our design is a view of the Acropolis monuments as they appear today, rendered in monochrome white on a black background.
