Mycenaean Figurines - Monochrome (Youth)

Regular price $23.99
Female figurines like these are found throughout the Mycenaean world and date back to ca. 1450-1100 BC. The three types are tau (τ), psi (ψ), and phi (Φ), after the letters of the Greek alphabet they resemble. They wear long patterned dresses with their arms either folded, raised, or by their sides. Their function/purpose is unknown, although it has been suggested that it changed based on the context they were used. Possible interpretations include children's toys, votive figurines (of goddesses or worshipers), and/or grave offerings. Rendered in monochrome white on a black background.

A lightweight youth tee, made of 100% cotton (except for heather colors, which contain polyester). Comes pre-shrunk so the fit stays the same over time and multiple wash cycles.

• 100% ring-spun cotton (heather colors have polyester)
• 30 singles
• Pre-shrunk
• Tubular construction
• Shoulder-to-shoulder tape
• Double-needle sleeve and bottom hem
